Jean’s fantastical and whimsical designs are original one of a kind pieces made completely by hand with polymer clay.

The creative process is inspired by color palettes made by mixing colored clays into custom blends. Complex patterns are created through a variety of techniques including caning, extrusions and building veneers into fabric-like sheets. Veneers and canes are carefully layered and fitted together to create a piece with character, depth and texture.

By artfully placing geometric and organic patterns, blends and solid colors, Jean brings life and originality to every design. In some pieces, glass eyes, beads, wire and embroidery threads may be incorporated as well. The finished piece is baked to fuse and cure the clay. Each piece is marked with the maker’s stamp.
